About me

My name is Thomas LEGROS, also known as TOM, on the art scene.

Selft-taught at heart, I’ve been drawing since I was a little child. Mainly influenced by comics, videogames, and Nature, I highly favor drawing from imagination since the beginning, filling up my sketchbooks with fantasy characters and their colorful stories.

I was born and raised in Reunion Island (La Réunion) where I still have the chance to live today.

I strongly believe in the power of images and in the benefits of a blooming creativity. That’s why today, as I still travel along my own artistic journey, I share my creative processes and tools about exploring and committing to one’s expressivity. Thus, I carry the hope that people will be inspired to go for their own creative pursuits.

I leave my home island to carry on my studies at 18 years old. I discover sciences, architecture and mostly fashion design. Back on the island in 2013 with my degree, I launch my own ready-to-wear line for women in 2015. My days are filled with designing, collection development, prototype making, production and sales. I also design my own patterns while introducing references to Reunion’s folklore and asserting the strong artisanal value of my brand.

In 2022, I devot myself entirely to graphic arts, providing my services in illustration. I explore painting, Indian ink and color pencils while taking part to art shows. As I experiment with the way to communicate through my art, I naturally turn to storytelling, edition and craftmanship,  

Today, I am building my own original worlds through character design. I share my creative processes, tools and tips via my YOUTUBE channel « TOM Fantasy », hopping to inspire and accompagny those who also share artistic purposes.

I provide my services in character design and illustration, giving life to memories, narratives, concepts and other precious matters of the mind.
